Dalla Slovacchia all’Inghilterra. Il FIM EnduroGP World Championship si è spostato nel Galles, precisamente nella cittadina di Rhayader, per il round numero 6 di questa emozionante stagione 2024.
Come due settimane fa, la formazione Honda Racing RedMoto Enduro Team si è presentata senza Francesca Nocera e Thomas Oldrati, sempre out a causa dei rispettivi infortuni.

Un altro weekend tutto da incorniciare per Steve Holcombe. Il pilota britannico questa volta ha giocato in casa e, davanti al suo pubblico, ha letteralmente messo in atto una super sfida con Garcia. Sabato non gli ha lasciato spazio, conquistando la vittoria della E1 al termine di una giornata di sfida agguerritissima, e conquistando anche la EnduroGP su Freeman. Domenica è stato invece lo spagnolo ad avere la meglio per soli 5 secondi: un risultato che gli ha comunque assicurato il terzo gradino del podio dell’Assoluta.
Come in Slovacchia, anche in Inghilterra Samuele Bernardini ha sfiorato il podio della E2 in entrambe le giornate di gara. Domenica ha letteralmente sfiorato il podio, perso per meno di un secondo contro Watson. Torna comunque a casa con due quarte posizioni che valgono comunque molto e che dimostrano il gran lavoro messo in atto insieme alla squadra anche in questo weekend.
Nella Junior1 una quinta e una quarta posizione per Manolo Morettini, che mette a segno due top ten nella Junior Assoluta. Se sabato ha risentito del terreno, domenica ha preso più confidenza con le speciali, accorciando le distanze e commettendo meno errori.
Holcombe
“Un ottimo weekend nella mia gara di casa in Galles! Il supporto è stato incredibile e questo è stato qualcosa di veramente speciale per me. Non vedevo l’ora di questa gara e sono contento dei miei risultati. Domenica ho commesso un paio di errori, ma sono felice di aver lottato fino all’ultima prova speciale e di essere salito sul podio della EnduroGP. Grazie al team per tutto l’impegno!”.
Morettini
“Gran Premio difficile in cui non sono riuscito a fare il risultato che volevo. Ora concentrazione per l’ultimo round in Francia con l’obiettivo di arrivare preparati al meglio”.
Bernardini
“Weekend abbastanza positivo con la top ten dell’Assoluta. Peccato aver mancato il podio di classe, ma abbiamo comunque conquistato punti importanti per il campionato. Ringrazio tutti per l’impegno”.

From Slovakia to England. The FIM EnduroGP World Championship moved to Wales, in Rhayader, for round number 6 of this exciting 2024 season.
As in the last Grand Prix, Honda Racing RedMoto Enduro Team showed up without Francesca Nocera and Thomas Oldrati, still out due to their injuries.

It is another perfect weekend for Steve Holcombe. The British rider ruled the home race in front of his crowd, literally putting on a super challenge with Garcia. On Saturday he left no space for the Spanish rider, taking the E1 victory at the end of a fiercely contested day, and also winning the EnduroGP over Freeman. On Sunday, however, it was the Spaniard who got the better by just five seconds. The second position secured him the third step of the podium in the Overall.
As in Slovakia, in England too Samuele Bernardini came close to the E2 podium on both race days. On Sunday he lost it by less than a second to Watson. These two fourth places show the great work put in together with the team this weekend.
5th and 4th position for Manolo Morettini in the Junior1, with two top ten in Junior Overall. He struggled a bit on Saturday, while on Sunday he became more familiar with the special tests, shortening the distances and making fewer mistakes.

“Very good weekend for me at my home race in Wales. The support was incredible and that was something really special for me. I was really looking for this event and I’m happy with my results and also for the Overall. On Sunday I made a couple of mistakes, but I’m happy I could fight until the last special test and finished on the podium of the EnduroGP. A big thank you to the team for the efforts!”.

“Tough GP in which I was not able to get the result I wanted. Now let’s focus on the last round in France with the aim to push hard”.
