Gran finale di stagione per il FIM EnduroGP World Championship, che per l’atto finale ha fatto tappa a Brioude, in Francia per l’ultimo atto del calendario. Una gara che ha confermato Honda Racing RedMoto Enduro Team tra i top team del Mondiale.

Steve Holcombe ha chiuso la stagione con un weekend a dir poco strepito. In una lotta epica sino all’ultimo secondo, il pilota britannico si è confermato nella top three della EnduroGP, conquistando due bellissime seconde posizioni che lo hanno visto chiudere secondo anche in campionato. Sabato la sfida è stata ancora una volta con Garcia, mentre domenica è stato il connazionale Freeman ad avere la meglio. Un successo a cui si aggiungono quelli raccolti nella sua classe, la E1: se sabato ha chiuso secondo per una manciata di secondi, nella seconda giornata di gara si è preso la rivincita vincendo davanti allo spagnolo. Al suo anno di esordio con la Honda RedMoto, Holcombe conclude il campionato in seconda posizione, a soli 6 punti dalla vetta.
Gran finale anche per Samuele Bernardini. Sabato ha dato filo da torcere a Verona, chiudendo secondo nella E2 e nella top ten della EnduroGP, mentre domenica ha invece concluso a un passo dal podio. Un altro fine settimana in cui ha confermato la crescita costante di cui è stato protagonista in questo 2024, e che lo vede chiudere secondo in classifica finale.
Podio anche nella Junior1 e nella Junior Assoluta con Manolo Morettini. Se sabato non è riuscito a prendere confidenza chiudendo quarto, domenica non ha lasciato nulla al caso, mettendo in atto una bellissima sfida per la vittoria con Cristino. Al termine della giornata ha chiuso secondo, portando a casa anche la terza posizione della Junior Assoluta. Il testa a testa tra i due piloti italiani è stato fondamentale per la classifica di campionato, con Morettini secondo per un solo punto.

“Sono molto soddisfatto della mia gara di questo fine settimana. L’obiettivo era cercare di vincere la mia classe: la lotta è stata buona, ma purtroppo mi è mancato qualcosa. Nel complesso sono soddisfatto di quanto abbiamo ottenuto quest’anno. Ringrazio tutti per l’impegno profuso”.

“Concludiamo la stagione Mondiale con un weekend dolce-amaro. Sabato non sono riuscito a dare il massimo, mentre domenica ho fatto una buona gara. Ce l’ho messa tutto ma purtroppo Kevin è riuscito a prendere la vittoria del Campionato. Peccato. Ringrazio la squadra, tutti i collaboratori e la mia famiglia”.
Bernardini
“Gara tosta con speciali e trasferimenti duri. Ho dato il massimo e sono riuscito a portare a casa un podio. Ringrazio il team per il lavoro svolto insieme. Ora guardiamo alle prossime due gare degli Assoluti d’Italia”.

Steve Holcombe closed a brilliant season with another great weekend. In an epic fight to the very last second, the British rider confirmed the top three of the EnduroGP thanks to two-second positions that also made him finish second in the E1 standings. On Saturday the challenge was once again with Garcia, while on Sunday it was Freeman who came out on top. He also ruled the E1 class. If on Saturday he finished second by a handful of seconds, on day 2 he took his revenge by winning ahead of the Spaniard. In his debut year with the Honda RedMoto, Holcombe finished second in the standings, just 6 points behind the leader.
Great season finale also for Samuele Bernardini. On Saturday he gave Verona a hard time, finishing second in E2 and in the top ten of the EnduroGP, while on Sunday he finished fourth. He ended the season in P4. Another weekend in which he confirmed his growth of 2024.
Podium also in Junior1 and Junior Overall with Manolo Morettini. On Saturday he failed to gain confidence by finishing fourth, but on Sunday he left nothing to chance, putting up a wonderful challenge for the victory with Cristino. At the end of the day, he finished second, also taking home third place in the Junior Overall. The head-to-head between the two Italians was crucial for the standings, with Morettini second by just one point.

“Happy with my race this weekend. The goal was to try to win my class: the fight was good but unfortunately, I missed something. Overall I’m happy with what we achieved this year. Thank you to everybody for the efforts”.

“We end the season with a bitter-sweet weekend. On Saturday I couldn’t give it my all, while on Sunday I had a good race. I gave it my all but unfortunately, Kevin managed to take the win. Too bad. I thank the team, all the staff and my family”.
