Terza tappa del Campionato Europeo di Enduro e terza solida prestazione per l’MGR-ASI- Racing Team; Davide Soreca ha tenuto alti i colori Kawasaki con due ottime prestazioni in terra Finlandese mentre, un problema meccanico ha fermato Herman Ask proprio mentre stava portando a casa la migliore prestazione della stagione.
Tre complesse prove speciali hanno messo alla prova i due piloti Kawasaki, i quali hanno saputo ben comportarsi anche in questo terzo difficile appuntamento continentale. La pista di Motocross di Sipoo si è trasformata nel Cross Test per l’occasione e nei suoi dintorni è stata disegnata anche l’Enduro Test, mentre la prova estrema con i suoi ostacoli naturali è stata la ciliegina sulla torta.
Davide Soreca firma due seconde posizioni di classe che lo confermano in testa alla classifica generale nella E1; due ottimi risultati che, per l’economia del campionato, sono davvero preziosi. Nonostante l’assenza del ritmo gara desiderato, Davide ha stretto i denti e ha provato fino all’ultima prova a concretizzare un buon posizionamento anche nella classifica assoluta. In questa occasione sono arrivate due posizioni nella Top 10, che lo tengono ancora in lotta per il titolo Europeo assoluto.
Davide Soreca: “Sono partito carico e con grandi aspettative ma purtroppo non sono mai riuscito ad attaccare le prove. Sono comunque riuscito a portare a casa dei buoni punti, non mi resta che confidare nella Germania. Sono in lizza per il titolo assoluto e non voglio farmelo scappare!”
Herman Ask ha iniziato bene la sua trasferta finlandese, con ottimi tempi che lo posizionavano nella top 5 della classe Junior; perfettamente a suo agio nelle prove è riuscito ad esprimere tutto il suo potenziale. Un problema tecnico, tuttavia, ha fermato la sua gara sabato e non gli ha permesso di ripartire alla domenica.
Herman Ask: “La gara era simile a quelle di casa, ma era tempo che non mi cimentavo in prove di questo tipo. Il primo giorno ero contento del feeling con la moto e della posizione in classifica ma un problema meccanico mi ha costretto al ritiro. Purtroppo non siamo riusciti a risolvere il problema e quindi domenica sono rimasto a tifare per il mio compagno di team; mi dispiace molto per questo perchè stavo rimontando nella classifica generale e ho perso punti preziosi. Manca solo un Round ed è difficile recuperare ma farò del mio meglio.”
Enrico Garelli – Team Manager: “Non è stato il fine settimana perfetto, Davide ha fatto del suo meglio ma ha perso qualche punto nella classifica assoluta e Herman ha dovuto ritirarsi per un problema meccanico. Ora ci presenteremo all’ultimo round con la voglia di vincere il titolo assoluto con Davide, che è decisamente alla nostra portata e con la voglia di dimostrare di che stoffa sia fatto Herman!”
Una trasferta dolce amara che però ha dato la giusta voglia di rivincita ai due piloti Kawasaki, i quali sono pronti per affrontare l’ultimo Gran Premio dell’anno.
Double silver for Davide Soreca at the Enduro European Championship
Third stage of the European Enduro Championship and third success for the MGR Racing Team; Davide Soreca kept the colors high with two excellent performances, while a mechanical problem stopped Herman Ask when he was doing his best race ever.
Three tricky special tests put the two Kawasaki riders to the test, who also managed to perform well in this third difficult continental event. The Motocross track of Sipoo has turned into the Cross Test for the occasion and in its surroundings the Enduro Test was also designed, while the Extreme Test with its natural features was the icing on the cake.
Davide Soreca signed two second positions in the E1 class, confirming him at the top of the overall ranking; two excellent results that are really valuable for the championship. Despite the absence of the hoped race pace for, Davide has tightened his teeth and tried until the last test to concretize a good position in the overall. On this occasion he has reached two positions in the Top 10, which still keep him fighting for the absolute European title.
Davide Soreca: “I had high expectations for this race after my last EnduroGP race but unfortunately I never managed to find the right pace. However I still managed to take home good points; there’s one round left and I want to make a good race! I’m in the running for the overall title and I don’t want to let it slip away!”
Herman Ask started his Finnish weekend well, with good times that placed him in the top 5 of the Junior class; perfectly at ease in the tests he managed to express all his potential. However, a technical issue stopped his race on Saturday and did not allow him to start again on Sunday.
Herman Ask: “The race was similar to my home race, but it was a long time since I didn’t ride in this kind of special tests. On the first day I was happy with the feeling with the bike and the position in the standings but a mechanical problem forced me to retire. Unfortunately we could not fix it; I am very sorry for this because I was improving my position in the overall ranking and now I lost valuable points. There’s only one round left and it’s hard to catch up but I’ll do my best.”
Enrico Garelli – Team Manager: “It was not the perfect race weekend; Davide did his best but he lost some points overall and Herman had a mechanical issue we could not fix in time. We are now focused on the last Enduro European Round; Davide could win the overall title and Herman could really shine in this Championship!”
A bittersweet race that gave the right payback’s desire to the two Kawasaki riders, who now are ready to face the last Grand Prix of the year.
