Quinto appuntamento con il FIM EnduroGP World Championship, che lo scorso fine settimana ha fatto tappa a Gelnica per il GP di Slovacchia. Un terreno che la squadra guidata da Matteo Boffelli aveva già visto nel 2022 e nel 2023, quando quella che è la seconda città più popolosa del Paese aveva ospitato il Mondiale.
Una gara che Honda Racing RedMoto Enduro Team ha affrontato con una formazione “ridotta” con Thomas Oldrati ancora out per infortunio.

Fine settimana di soddisfazioni per Steve Holcombe. Su un terreno duro e con condizioni meteo al limite caratterizzate da alte temperature, il pilota britannico ha chiuso entrambe le giornate di gara sul podio. Sabato non ha lasciato spazio a Garcia e, al termine di una giornata tiratissima, ha vinto la E1 conquistando anche la terza posizione nella EnduroGP. Domenica, invece, qualche errore lo ha visto chiudere secondo di classe e in top 5 dell’Assoluta.
Due podi sfiorati per Samuele Bernardini, protagonista di una E2 in sfida con i top riders del Mondiale. Chiude entrambe le giornate di gara in quarta posizione e nella top ten della EnduroGP.
Reduce dalla prima vittoria Mondiale al GP d’Italia, al termine di una gara praticamente perfetta, in Slovacchia Manolo Morettini non ha trovato feeling per ripetersi. Conclude il weekend con due quinte posizioni nella Junior1 e due top ten della Junior Assoluta.
Holcombe
“Un buon fine settimana. La prima giornata di gara è andata bene con la terza posizione assoluta e punti importanti per la classifica di campionato. Il secondo giorno ho faticato un po’ e purtroppo non sono riuscito a fare la top three. Ora guardo alla prossima sfida che è la mia gara di casa, non vedo l’ora!”.
Morettini
“Un fine settimana abbastanza complicato. Speravo di fare qualcosa in più, ma ho comunque dato il massimo. Ringrazio il team: ora massima concentrazione per la prossima in Inghilterra”.
Bernardini
“Weekend abbastanza positivo anche se sofferto. Qualche caduta di troppo sabato non mi ha permesso di salire sul podio. Ci ho riprovato domenica, ma ho chiuso ancora quarto a un passo dalla terza posizione”.

Fifth round for the FIM EnduroGP World Championship this weekend back to Gelnica for the GP of Slovakia. A competition that Honda Racing RedMoto Enduro Team faced with a “reduced” line-up, as Thomas Oldrati is still out due to the injury.

Fruitful weekend for Steve Holcombe. On a hard ground and hot weather conditions, the British rider finished both days on the podium. On Saturday he left no room for Garcia and at the end of a very tight day he won E1 taking the third place in the EnduroGP. On Sunday, however, a few mistakes made him finish second of his class and in the top five of the Overall.
Double P4 for Samuele Bernardini, in the fight against the major players of E2 class. He finished both days close to the podium, taking two EnduroGP top ten.
After his first world victory at the Italian GP thanks to a perfect race, Manolo Morettini did not find the feeling to repeat the performance in Slovakia. He finished the weekend with two fifth positions in Junior1 and two top ten positions in the Junior Overall.

“Good weekend for me. Day 1 was good: I finished third Overall gaining some points in the standing. Day 2 I struggled a little bit and unfortunately, I finished out of the top three Overall. Looking to my home race in two weeks”.
Morettini
“It was quite a complicated weekend. I gave my best, but I was hoping to do something more. Thank you to the team for the work did together. Now let’s focus on the next GP in England”.
Bernardini
“Quite a positive weekend even though I struggled a bit. A few too many crashes on Saturday did not allow me to get on the podium. I tried again on Sunday, but I still finished fourth”.
